100 Sounds of Belonging: Berlin
By Golsana shenasaei
100 Sounds of Belonging: Berlin is an interdisciplinary live performance created and directed by Golsana Shenasaei. Inspired by the stories of 100 migrants in the city, the work explores how sound shapes memory, identity, and our sense of belonging.
Through interviews with people from diverse backgrounds, the project asks: What sound instantly brings you back to your home country? What unfamiliar sounds did you notice when you first arrived in Berlin? These personal reflections form the foundation of a collective soundscape that bridges past and present.
Blending voices, field recordings, live music, dance, and Visuals, This performance invites audiences into an intimate, sonic exploration of migration, memory, and place.
