WHO WE ARE?

Borderless Creatures is a Berlin-based platform for music, artistic exchange, collaboration, and professional development.

Founded in 2025, we create spaces where artists from different cultural and artistic backgrounds can meet, experiment, perform, learn from one another, and develop new work together.

Our focus is on artists and practices that move between places, disciplines, traditions, and electroacoustic and experimental forms of music-making.

WHAT WE DO?

Concerts & Curated Performances

We produce concerts and performance formats that bring together distinctive artistic voices, with a focus on contemporary, experimental, electroacoustic, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary music.

Workshops & Practice Labs

Our workshops connect artistic practice with the realities of working professionally as an independent artist.

Topics range from musical techniques and creative technologies to wellbeing, collaboration, project development, fair fees, and professional practice.

Artist Development

We create practical spaces where artists can exchange experience and develop tools for building more sustainable artistic careers.

This includes project development, communication, digital presence, collaboration, networking, and navigating Berlin’s cultural ecosystem.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

We connect musicians with visual artists, filmmakers, designers, producers, researchers, and other creative practitioners.

We are interested in what can happen when different artistic languages and ways of working meet.

Artists at Risk

Borderless Creatures also works with artists who have experienced displacement or barriers to continuing their professional practice.

Through workshops, networking, performances, collaborations, and connections within Berlin’s cultural sector, we aim to support artists in rebuilding professional networks and developing greater independence.

WHY WE DO IT?

After years of moving between stages and behind-the-scenes realities, we decided to build our own space: one that is open, intentional, and alive. A place where structure supports connection, while artistic freedom leads the way.

For us, borderless does not mean that differences disappear. It means creating spaces where different histories, techniques, sounds, experiences, and perspectives can exist alongside one another without needing to become the same.

We believe artistic exchange begins with curiosity, listening, experimentation, and mutual respect. Rather than defining artists mainly through nationality or background, we are interested in their work, their ideas, and what can emerge when different practices encounter one another.

Musically, we are especially drawn to live instrumentation, acoustic sound, and hybrid setups that bring acoustic instruments together with electronics, effects, looping, and other technologies. We are inspired by the raw textures and expressive possibilities of live instruments, while encouraging artists to experiment with how these sounds can be expanded, transformed, and reimagined.

FROM STAGE TO PRACTICE

Borderless Creatures is not only interested in presenting finished work.

We are equally interested in everything that happens around it: experimentation, rehearsals, conversations, documentation, technical discoveries, professional questions, collaboration, and shared knowledge.

This is why concerts, workshops, artist development, and community building are closely connected throughout our projects.
