Hybrid Concert Series - Day 3 - 29 October 2026 - Berlin

The final night of the Hybrid Concert Series explores texture, resonance and expanded approaches to string instruments through four contrasting performances.

South African violist Jean-Louise Parker moves between classical, jazz and experimental practices, combining viola with looping, effects, improvisation and layered string textures.

Brazilian harpist Marina Mello reimagines the harp through acoustic, electric and prepared techniques, using objects, electronics and effects to move between silence, improvisation and dense sonic environments.

Berlin-based violinist and composer-performer Biliana Voutchkova brings together contemporary composition, improvisation, movement and interdisciplinary performance, extending the relationship between sound, body and space.

The evening closes the series with Nafsika Gkotzamani & Felicitas Arnold, bringing qanun and violin into dialogue through musical traditions from the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond, improvisation and contemporary collaborative practice.
